Welcome to Mischief Managed!
The conference is over now.
If you attended the event, THANK YOU!
If you missed it, you missed some great stuff:
- William Todd-Jones gave a FANTASTIC presentation on
state-of-the art technology in the making of the Order of the Phoenix,
including details of how the scenes with Grawp and the Centaurs were made.
Many thanks to Todd for making this a very special event!
- Energetic and thought provoking debates and discussions on House Elf
rights, implications of closing Azkaban, Wand rights for magical
creatures, rights of Muggle borns, environmental issues in the Wizard
world and loss of space for magical creatures to live, sentience of
non-human magical beings, and much more. We had some great role
playing representing Wizards, Centaurs, Elves, Merpeople and even Spiders!
It was great fun and very educational to explore these Wizarding world
issues, and how they correlate to the Muggle world.
- Harry Potter Trivia contest.
- Performances reenacting scenes such as the final duel between
Bellatrix LeStrange and Mrs. Weasely, Hagrid introducing Grawp, and the
Centaurs carrying away Umbridge.
- Fun activities such as the Sorting Hat, Teal Leaf Reading, sending
Howlers, Mandrake repotting (eeeeeee!), Dark Arts Road Show, Tonks' Beauty
Academy, and body piercing and tattoos by Professor Umbridge.
- Wizard Rock bands: The Whomping Willows, Tonks and the Aurors
and The Justin Finch Fletchly Band. Many thanks to the bands for
putting on a great show!
